Preparing Your Home for Window Cleaning

Simple steps to ensure your window cleaner can work efficiently and deliver the best possible results.

Getting Ready for Your Window Clean

While our water-fed pole system requires minimal access to your property, a few simple preparations can help us deliver the best possible service.

Before We Arrive

Access Points

  • Side gates: Ensure side gates are unlocked if we need to access rear windows
  • Parking: Where possible, leave a space near your property for our van
  • Inform us: Let us know about any access codes, key safes, or specific entry requirements

Around Your Windows

  • Move obstacles: If possible, move wheelie bins, pot plants, or garden furniture away from windows
  • Close windows: Ensure all windows are closed to prevent water ingress
  • Pets: Keep dogs secured – we don't want to accidentally let them out while accessing your garden

What You Don't Need to Do

Thanks to our water-fed pole system:

  • You don't need to be home
  • No need to provide water or electricity
  • No need to move indoor items away from windows
  • No need to pre-clean anything

Special Situations

Bird Droppings

Fresh bird droppings are easily removed. Older, baked-on deposits may need a pre-treatment – we'll assess and advise on arrival.

Paint or Cement Splashes

If you've had recent building work, let us know. Paint and cement require different treatment and may need to be quoted separately.

Security Cameras

If you have external cameras, you might want to check your notifications – we'll trigger them as we work around your property!

After We Finish

We'll send you a message confirming the clean is complete. If it's been raining or looking overcast, don't worry – our purified water system means rain won't affect your clean windows.
